Transactions Not Cleared when Confirming

In the preferences window i have checked and saved the preference to clear the transactions after confirming. However, after I go through and confirm the new transactions, they continue to show up in the uncleared list. I closed out the application and restarted and they still show as confirmed but not cleared. I am using MD 2015 on a Mac.

    Hi Joseph,

    Did you restart Moneydance after enabling 'Mark Transactions as cleared when confirmed' within Preferences --> Network? You may have needed to restart Moneydance for this change to take effect.
    Can you confirm if you are still experiencing the issue since you have now restarted?

    Yes, I quit out of Moneydance and then opened it back up. The confirmed transactions were still showing in the uncleared list with the blue circle outlined but not filled in (indicating they had been confirmed).

    Hi Joseph,

    Sorry if I was not clear, have you tried again to confirm transactions since restarting?

    Can you please send me the output of your console log? This can be found by going to Help --> Console window in Moneydance, then clicking the "Copy to clipboard" button and pasting the output to us here.

    Jenny,
    Yes, I did do more confirmations after restarting and they continue to
    remain in the Uncleared list until I manually go clear them as well. Log of
    this session is shown below:

    Hi Joe,

    Please accept my apologies for the delayed response.

    Can you confirm the types of transactions that are uncleared? 'Mark Transactions as Cleared When Confirmed' will not work within an investment account.

    If you're still experiencing this issue with clearing transactions, can you try upgrading to the latest preview release of Moneydance from here and see if that fixes the issue that you're seeing?

    Hello Jenny,
    I downloaded the preview release and the issue is still there. I tested it
    with an Investment account. The issue occurs will all transactions that I
    downloaded. Specifically, I tested three end of month Interest earned
    transactions and saw that they were not Cleared after I Confirmed them. I
    Cleared all three interest earned transactions, clicked the ³All² tab to see
    all transactions, went back to the ³Unconfirmed² tab to see they dropped off
    that list, and then clicked on the ³Uncleared² tab and saw that the
    transactions were still there. I have to also Clear them manually.

    Hi Joe,

    Unfortunately 'Mark Transactions as Cleared When Confirmed' will not work within an investment account. Can you test this with another account type and let me know if the issues continue?

    I don’t currently have any accounts other than Investment accounts to test
    with.

    Will this bug be entered for eventual fix in a future release?

    Unfortunately this is a known issue in Moneydance. There's an existing ticket in our ticketing system regarding this issue, so I've attached it to this discussion and the developers will be looking into it. I don't have an estimated time for when this will be implemented, but we'll notify you of any updates.
