I just found out the same thing, that I had to set up my OFX connections again. Not a big deal, as I knew the correct passwords for each account.

Insofar as a list of banks for Moneydance+, I don't think that there would be an "approved list," as it utilizes Moneydance's internal web browser to connect. It's been in the works for awhile now and I believe that it would work similarly to the way that you connect to those banks now, via your preferred web browser. The way that I understood the process, it that it is almost like (please forgive the reference) Q's "express web connect". I haven't used it yet, but I would expect that the process of setting up Moneydance+ (which is a premium service) would include going through the exact steps that you use now to connect via any web browser, with the added capability of saving those steps and passwords to automate the process. If that's not true, then I'm sure that someone will step in to correct me.

The question that I had is "What is the cost of the premium service?", as I only have 2 accounts that don't work with Direct Connect (OFX servers) and it isn't really a lot of work to log onto those accounts manually to download the data.

Take care,

Although I referenced "Express Web Connect," another major difference, I believe, would be how/where the steps and passwords are saved in Moneydance+. Moneydance has always prided itself on Privacy concerns. The steps and passwords used in Moneydance+ would be saved on your own computer and not on some other server as with other Personal Financial Software.

TonyRItag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/494129852021-10-02T05:26:05Z2021-10-02T05:26:08Zmoneydance+

It is very helpful post to understanding of its working

scottpmeissnertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/494129852021-10-02T16:33:48Z2021-10-02T16:33:48Zmoneydance+

I am running build 4045 for mac. I signed up for the + (plaid) option to try it out - they offer a 14day trial period, you get billed after that $2/mo, probably automatically via the payment option you chose in signing up.

I did not have to re-setup my OFX connections. They work normally. I did add US Bank via the + service and it works. I had dropped their OFX service some time ago as it was not free. I could use the MD built-in browser to view the US Bank accounts, but could not get the browser to download transactions. Somehow the + service works, but does not seem to rely on the built-in browser.

So far, so good. Except, if I do a "download all accounts", it appears that the US Bank account (setup for +) is not included, i.e. I see no message for US Bank in the bottom line activity viewer. At least for now, + accounts may need to be checked individually via the "download transactions" command.

avp2tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/494129852021-10-02T16:35:35Z2021-10-02T16:35:35Zmoneydance+

It may be the migration mapping of OFX accounts.. It doesn't catch them all. Sean is aware and hopefully fixing..

Check the Online Match Accounts menu, select the relevant profile and check the mapping is there..?

I just did an all download and both my +, and all OFX, accounts were queried. Do not know how I missed the US Bank account querry message previously.

avp2tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/494129852021-10-02T20:25:14Z2021-10-02T20:25:14Zmoneydance+

It may not be you making an error. I seem to notice that things work differently when you try to repeat the downloads, restart, etc....

Roger Rice
