How to completely remove Moneydance+
This discussion is public.
I decided to eliminate Moneydance+ after it downloaded several hundred past transactions for a credit card account. (I was already frustrated with duplicate transactions and missing categories.) I have canceled my subscription and deleted all of the accounts in the "Set Up Moneydance+" window. However, when I open Moneydance or select Online->Download All Accounts, the message at the bottom of the window indicates that it is still attempting to download the accounts I had set up for Moneydance+ (as well as the bank accounts that are still set up the old-fashioned way.) How can I completely eliminate Moneydance+ from these accounts? Thank you.

I also need to remove the Moneydance+ setup completely from my setup (in Linux vm on ChromeOS) albeit for entirely different reasons from Doug.
Could we please get any guidance on doing that? :-)

Online menu. Md+ setup. Make sure you disconnect all banks and accounts setup. Then refresh. When the screen is empty, next step.
From memory. File menu. Moneydance+ Then manage md+. At the MD+ website deactivate the account/dataset
Once this is done and your dataset is deactivated. Toolbox extension. Hacker mode. Online banking menu. Zap md+ license.
The steps are roughly as described above.

Update. On the md+ setup screen at the bottom you click manage account for step two.

Stuart - MANY THANKS! Perfect!!!!! My Moneydance install is once again Mondeydance+ free.
Not to be misunderstood: I'm obviously interested in using Moneydance+, but it seems I may want to wait a little until the details of the setup on a Chromebook are fully worked out and documented. I'm looking forward to that day. :-)

Thanks for the suggestion. This didn't work for me, perhaps because I had already canceled my MD+ subscription without "deactivating the dataset"--or because of some other user error. I ended up reverting to MD 2021, starting with my last 2021 backup file. I'll probably update to 2022 again without setting up MD+. I may try MD+ again sometime in the future if it I learn that it will handle existing transactions and categories more manageably.
