Canceled Moneydance+, how do I go back to the old way?

I canceled the Moneydance+ service but how do I go back to the old way? When I got to set up online banking, it still brings up the Moneydance+ window.

    How do I reset the app so that I can set up direct connect online banking again? It keeps bring up the Moneydance+ window.

    Make sure the md+ setup window shows no connections. Then Toolbox extension. Advanced mode. Also hacker mode. Online banking menu. Zap md+ license. Then cleanup banking links

    Let me know if this works?

    I cannot do that since I already canceled Moneydance+.

    It does not even allow me to remove connections.

    So do as I suggest, start from toolbox.

    Toolbox procedure didn't work. The Moneydance+ window still shows for accounts that were in Moneydance+, not the Direct connect window.

    Accounts that were in Direct connect before, show the correct window.

    Right. For each account that appears in md+ right click the far right on each account and click disconnect. Then repeat the cleanup bit.

    As mentioned, I do that and it says it cannot disconnect. Likely because I no longer have the Moneydance+ subscription.

    I still think the procedure is disconnect a few times. Refresh a few time. Restart md. Repeat. Then cleanup.

    The app does not allow you to do anything in the Moneydance+ window if you have canceled the Moneydance+ subscription. Yet, the Moneydance+ window keeps showing when clicking to Online Banking.

    OK, a few points...:

    When you say 'The app does not allow you to do anything in the Moneydance+ window' what exactly do you mean? Can you click buttons and then you get an error, or you click the button and nothing at all happens, or it does not allow you to click the buttons?

    Can you send a screenshot of online setup md+ menu, of both the setup and the accounts tab(s)...

    ... and a screenshot of what happens when you select an account and then do online, setup online banking....

    Can you restart MD, go to Help/Console. KEEP CONSOLE open.... Then go back to MD+ setup screen/Account, click the "connected" button on each account, click disconnect... IGNORE any popup error message and carry on. Repeat for all accounts... Then click refresh.... Then repeat again.... Then refresh.... Then go back to help/console screen and copy the contents and past back here as an attached text file.... Then restart MD, go back to the screen, and see if the accounts are still listed...

    I know you keep saying that you have cancelled MD+, but it should 'forget' your links as you click disconnect. My recollection is that after a few times, they do disappear....

    Let me know on the above....

    @Stuart I entered Advanced mode and then selected HAcker mode. Why would "Zap MD+" be grayed out but everything else is selectable?

    @Stuart I succeeded in running the tool to Zap my MOneyDance+ settings. When I try to set-up my online account connection the old way for those accounts, I still get the MoneyDance+ pop-up and it does not have any buttons!! (see screen-shot)

    I does seem like once you set up an account for Moneydance+, you cannot go back to Direct Connect. Even after removing the account from Moneydance+, and then going to "Set up Online Banking", it still brings up the Moneydance+ window.

    Update- I was able to get it to prompt me for either OFX direct connection or Moneydance+ by first removing the account from Moneydance+ completely, then running the Toolbox extension and choosing the clear online account cache (or whatever it's called). Now, I am able to set up with OFX again with an account that was previously using Moneydance+

    Note also, this requires the Moneydance+ subscription to be active. You cannot remove accounts from Moneydance+ without that.

    I tried leaving my MoneyDance+ subscription while I deleted the accounts. The Toolbox utility would not run, though, until I went ahead and canceled MoneyDance+.

    Sadly, after the toolbox tool ran, I still only get the MoneyDance+ Set-up window :(

    Can you clarify what you mean by ‘the Toolbox utility would not run’? What happened? An error, a message?

    What is your status now? What do you see in the md+ setup, accounts window?
