I'm getting error code 880012 "Could not find matching access token." I can't disconnect or relink. Those options do nothing. My account no longer shows by it's name but now says "no name." I've tried "connect more accounts" but I get an error in Plaid after signon is complete.

Any thoughts?

Roger Ricetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-01-25T22:14:09Z2022-01-25T22:14:09Z880012 Error

No suggestions?

Roger Ricetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-01-25T22:23:21Z2022-01-25T22:23:21Z880012 Error

just a user

Normally, Stuart Beesley would probably have a good suggestion, but he's not available right now.

You probably need to use his Toolbox extension to blow away the current "no name" bit, and then you could hook things back up, but offhand I don't know the correct toolbox commands, and would strongly hesitate to suggest since Toolbox can change things quickly (which is why it asks you to do a backup about every third step).

But this might give you a direction, and someone else might have the instructions.

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-01-26T11:37:18Z2022-01-26T12:23:30Z880012 Error

Hi Roger,

We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

When you are returned Error code: INVALID_ACCESS_TOKEN, it means that Moneydance + is trying to refresh but Plaid is saying there is a problem. You should navigate to the Online>Setup Moneydance + menu again and look in the connections list. When you see "no name" listed, you should disconnect it.

Your account with Elan might require a re-link which should be resolvable by selecting the Online->Setup Moneydance+ menu then clicking on the row in the table for Elan (not one of the accounts, just the header row) and clicking the rounded button as in the attached screenshot and selecting the "Re-link Connection" entry.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

I tried it again as well. Neither the disconnect nor the relink do anything other than return the same error.

What should I try next? Does this become a formal support request?

Roger Ricetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-01-27T14:55:38Z2022-01-27T14:55:38Z880012 Error

Let's try a different approach!

Please navigate to Extensions->Manage Extensions and install the Toolbox.
Launch Toolbox and navigate to Toolbox Options (on top left corner) and select -
Advanced Mode->Yes->Do Back Up Now (if you wish). Then, navigate to Menu: Online Banking (OFX) Tools (2nd tab down).
In the resulting window, under Update Functions you should select :
Delete OFX Banking Service / Logon profile (remove_one_service.py)

Finally, restart Moneydance and recreate the connection as outlined here.

On a separate note, this seems to be a general issue that has affected other customers who are connecting to Elan via Plaid. According to our lead developer it seems like the frequent authentication requirements for Elan might be unavoidable and he's committed to do some more work to make re-linking those easier and faster within Moneydance.

So, when I use the Toolbox to delete OFX Banking service, I don't get Elan as an option. The only options are my four remaining traditional ofx download institutions. Elan is MD+ so it doesn't have an entry here. Did I misunderstand something?

And on the separate note, thank you for that info. I suspected something similar when it quit downloading and was trying to relink when this all went haywire.

Roger Ricetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-01-27T22:31:07Z2022-01-27T22:31:07Z880012 Error

just a user

going back to my original message on Jan 25, I do think Toolbox has tools to deal with your issue, just not necessarily OFX since you are using MD+ and don't have Elan as OFX.

Again, we don't have Stuart around to make a definitive statement, but you may wish to investigate "Cleanup missing online banking links" , but I think avoid "Zap MD+ (Plaid) settings" since my impressing is you do have it activated.

Again, I speak with very little knowledge, so backup/backup/backup before pursuing.

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-01-29T13:50:22Z2022-01-29T13:50:22Z880012 Error

Thanks DTD. I was able to use the toolbox and "cleanup missing online banking links" did remove one link. I was then able to go and disconnect "no name" successfully.

it felt like I was making progress.

I then went to "connect more accounts" under "set up Moneydance+" to sign in to Elan again. I was able to put in my username and password as well as receive the challenge question before I got the dreaded "something went wrong" message from Plaid.

So I'm at least disonnected from the bank but unable to add it back again.

I'd really hate to have to zap the whole plaid setup since I have EIGHT capital one accounts that all receive an identical deposit every two weeks. I had a nightmare of a time the first time I set up Capital one getting all of the accounts lined up correctly. Or, has that multiple account issue been fixed by MD yet?

Roger Ricetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-01-29T14:40:35Z2022-01-29T14:40:35Z880012 Error

I may have tried to connect too many times. Now I'm getting a new error: "Connectivity down...Plaid is currently unable to connect Elan CardMember Service to Moneydance. We're working to restore the connection. Try another financial institution or check for another connection method."

Roger Ricetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-01-30T00:25:09Z2022-01-30T00:25:09Z880012 Error

just a user

with both ofx and MD+ - trying to connect too many times can indeed get you temporarily banned from connecting. i always "try again a few hours later".

As for multiple accounts, that has been a problem for as long as I've used MD - of course for me, I see it in OFX, but the matching problem is just there due to information passing - I advise using nicknames for accounts (for me it is Chase) to help match.

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-01-31T15:29:52Z2022-01-31T15:29:52Z880012 Error

Maddy,

So, I'm not sure what to do at this point.

I'm still getting "something went wrong" message from Plaid.

Is my only option to "zap" the MD+ setup and just deal with the multiple capital one accounts (which don't show the nicknames that other financial institutions do show.)?

Roger Ricetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-01-31T16:17:02Z2022-02-02T11:46:04Z880012 Error

I have the same issue with a Macys credit card account, went through the same stages:
1. "Could not find matching access token."
3. It appeared as a "No Name" in MD+
4. Was able to get rid of "No Name" by restoring a backup/Toolbox operation
5. Now I cannot establish a new MD+ entry for this account.
Of course, that's not the news I wanted to hear, but it is useful to help me just give up on it working.

It kind of sucks but I only recently signed up for the card because it was available for download. It's my daily use card from my Credit Union. I gave up my Discover Card back when MD quit supporting it... I've given up several accounts since they weren't available for download. I'm not sure what to do now about this daily use card or my half a dozen Schwab accounts that don't work. I can't keep opening and closing accounts just based on MD's download abilities. :(

Roger Ricetag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/497569522022-02-28T23:41:08Z2022-02-28T23:41:08Z880012 Error

just a user - explicitly interested in Schwab as well.
