USAA ofx_create_new_usaa_bank_profile_custom.py fails
I have 3 USAA accounts, 2 bank and one credit card accounts. One of the bank accounts stopped downloading. I deleted all the USAA banking tools and renewed the downloads scripts. I got the main bank account working OK but I can't get the 2 additional accounts to link because of script errors.
1. What value should I enter in DEFAULT userID(User1)? Quicken ID? Bank Name? I am using ID from USAA.
2 What value should I enter in UserID2? This is the second checking account.
3 What value should I enter in UserID3? This is the credit cart account.
ERROR NO ACCOUNTS SELECTED TO MATCH USERID1: (user id from USAA)
I have tried many values in the USERID: entry and none work. Please help....

There have been two methods to fix the USAA problem (which is now a year old). The python script you described was created last February, and should still work if you follow the instructions provided with it.
There is a more recent version of this script which is now in the extension Toolbox. Moneydance revised the instructions on how to use this, you can find in in the knowledgebase at:

That should also make it clearer what userid/password/clientid you should use.
As to your particular questions, you should use the same userid/password you gathered from the instructions - and these are NOT the userid/password for USAA, but for Quicken. (The one exception is if you have multiple logins, like for yourself and a spouse)

Thanks dtd for your help. Where the script asks for ID, I use the Quicken ID. Where it asks for password, I again use the Quicken password but the script still barfs and errors out. I am at a loss how to get the 2nd bank account and credit card downloads from USAA. I even tried Moneydance+ and got an error (401) and no go.

well, again, the script SHOULD work, but I'd suggest doing this over again with the Toolbox extension newer item as listed in the new instructions.
If the id and password works for one account, but not the other two accounts, then there is a problem way beyond the script (or toolbox extension item), as all three would use the same new profile. Is it possible the other two accounts are in a different USAA account than yours? (i.e. and thus would have a different quicken id/password?
Could you post a picture of the error message you get? What version of Moneydance are you using and what operating system? Given you ran the script, you should have the three items you need for the new toolbox item. Don't forget to blow away the old OFX script and use USAA custom profile (all of this is in the new instructions).
And - if it goes as it should go, give USAA time to display the accounts for you to pick one (obviously there should be three). If there is only one, that would be indicative.
And as I'm sure you know, this part has nothing to do with MD+, but is providing information (specifically that weird client_id) to create a new usaa profile. Beyond that, it's just Moneydance.

Default userid/userid1 is the userid your bank requires to log in to OFX
The ‘no accounts selected’ message means you did not select any accounts in the popup window listing accounts to use with userid 1? But it sounds like you might be using the wrong script. What is the actual script name you are running?
It would be easier for you to install toolbox extension, then advanced mode, online banking tools menu and then the special command at the bottom of the menu to connect usaa.

Thanks guys for the help. I updated to the newest extension toolbox and all is well.
Kudos to all that did the work on this problem.
I use Ubuntu MATE 20.04LTS Linux since many years ago I went Linux because windows leaked my stuff.
I swore off Bill Gates software forever. However there is a couple MS apps I have to cautiously use
on this production machine so they run in one desktop using Virtualbox.
I really like Moneydance and would hate to loose it. It is a good Linux app.
