the account number(s) presented during connect to ofx services are provided by the bank (showing you've put in the right username/password), not by Moneydance. So the bank is still showing you the old number.

I've seen with some of my connections that the banks present odd numbers - sometimes making it hard to link them properly (i.e. parent numbers where I have a "child" account)

I'd suggest just picking the old number, and hope that the bank if/when it changes it to the new number keeps the link the same. If it suddenly stops working, then I would do the process you describe and see if the number has changed.

Hope that helps.

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/500238122022-02-07T22:27:17Z2022-02-07T22:27:25Zcredit card number change not working

Thank you. Based on your suggestion, I logged into the credit card website to confirm the old credit card number. Then I went back to moneydance to follow your direction. When I did it, the new account number showed up. I was able to complete the registration and download the new transactions.
Logging in must have somehow reset the bank's database for ofx.
Best to you.
