Moneydance+ does not download transactions
Hey folks!
OK I Need some help. I can't get Moneydance+ to download transactions. I have synced and verified my bank account through Plaid (It's Truist.). I have set it up in the app. If I go to Online > Set Up Moneydance+, it says You're fully connected! The Accounts tab lists my two accounts connected to that bank and I see the Connected button on the right. The Match Online Accounts window has a dropdown but the only entry is "Imported OFX/QFX Files and does not have Moneydance+. If I go to Online > Download Truist Transactions, nothing happens except it opens my bank's web page. The HTML login button appears on that page but doesn't do anything. It doesn't download anything, and it doesn't ask me what the starting date for transactions should be. I just signed up tonight, so it has never worked. I have tried restarting the app. I am on version 4063 on Windows. (I upgraded because 4060 did not work.) Let me know what else you need in order to help me... Thanks!!

did you have this set up for OFX at one point? OFX always wins over MD+, so if you had OFX before, you must disable that.
also, if it takes you to a web page, do you have the web page in the account profile? if so, you are probably going to the experimental web browser in MD - and that is really not ready for prime time. If so, remove the web page url in the account profile.
It sounds like you have MD+ set up, but both of these items might be in the way.

I don't think I had OFX set up. How can I tell? and how can I disable it? I
added the web page to the profile, because without it, nothing happened at
all when I click on download transactions. After removing it, again nothing
at all happens.
*DISCLAIMER* - you know how banks often merge or buy each other out? This
just happens to be the weekend that my bank, Truist, is offline because
they are in the process of transitioning fully to Truist. So this might be
a bad time to be testing this. I wonder if I should wait until it's over
and then start all over with setting it up in Plaid again? I hate that I am
wasting some of my MD+ trial time with my bank being inaccessible. I was
just hoping this would work before they went offline.

If you have never set up OFX, then it probably isn't an issue. This problem arises when people move from OFX to MD+ (Personally, if OFX works for me, I just leave it alone, I use MD+ only for those banks that don't work with OFX)
But to answer your question specifically, you go to the online banking area, choose OFX, and hit disable if it appears enabled.
As for the web page in the profile, leave it blank, as it obviously isn't working for you.
And yes - probably wait, as if the bank is transitioning, it's likely not to work with much of anything.
Hope that helps.

I was having the same issue, but just now noticed in the "Set up moneydance+" dialog that I had institutions and accounts listed, but that by clicking on each one I was able to select which MD account each should be paired with. It helped! Downloads now showing results.

@jd.kirk - I'm seeing in other threads that Truist has indeed moved away from OFX direct connect, so MD+ (or manual OFX downloads if available) will be the only way forward.

Thank you stev -
How? I have the institution and accounts listed, but how do you tell
Moneydance which MD account it goes to? I can highlight each one, but I
don't see how to associate with MD accounts.

OK see it now. You have to RIGHT-click to pick from a list. Wow that is not intuitive at all. It would save them some work and keep tickets from coming in by adding a simple line of instruction in that dialog box.
