Error message when trying to download account information from my bank
Hello:
When I try to download account information from my bank in Moneydance, I receive the following error message: "Please update your browser. We don't support this browser version anymore..." I have the latest version of Firefox for Linux Mint installed (97.0.1). Is there a way to install a more recent version in Moneydance so I can get the download to work or can I not use this feature? It's why I selected Moneydance in the first place...
Thanks!

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi Harlo
The internal Moneydance web browser is not compatible with all banks. You can’t update it.
There are other options to import transaction but the best for you depends on you bank and were you are in the world.
If it’s the US first investigate Direct connect see https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/online-banking-and-bill-pay/d...
Next try downloading a transaction file from your online bank account see https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/online-banking-and-bill-pay/m...
The third option is a subscription service in Moneydance 2022.3(4063) and later builds called Moneydance+ see https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/moneydance
Hope this helps.

Just to add to the above suggestions: if you are receiving this browser error when you try the manual downloads option, just navigate to your bank's website using your regular web browser, not the one within the program.

Hello:
I was able to get the QIF file import to work. I had to use an alternate
web browser to download it as I discovered that my default Firefox for
Linux Mint install cannot do it. |
Thanks for the help page. The QFX import did not work either. I'm glad I
was able to figure it out.
Sincerely,
Harlo L.
