Chase Error
I have two Chase credit cards, and for the last two days, whenever I try to download the transactions, I get the following error:
A communication or parsing error occurred. This could be the result of a network problem, a proxy error, or misconfigured server.
Error Description: java.io.IOException: HTTP Error:400 Bad
I don't have a password vault to reset - I manually input online passwords each time I download transactions, so how do I fix this?

Hi Jesse,
Can you send me the output of your Console Log? To do this run Moneydance and select Help --> Console Window. Then, copy and paste the output of the console window to this discussion.

Jenny,
I am having the same issue with Chase which just started 2 days ago. Checking, savings, credit cards, etc. I thought it might be because I have started using a "security token" provided by the bank but am not so sure since others are having the same problem.
I am using the 2012 version of Money Dance.n I have no problem upgrading, only if I can be assured it will work.

Can you try re-creating your connection with your financial institution and see if that fixes the issue that you're seeing? You will need to disable your current connection to your bank and then recreate it using the New Connection button on the Online Banking Setup screen. To do so, you can follow these steps:
Make sure you pick new connection, even though your bank is still one of the connection choices after you disable it. Choosing your bank from the list of available banks will force Moneydance to download the updated information, which should then allow you to connect.
Please let me know if you continue to have connection problems after recreating your connection.

I have this SAME error. Chase card services was working fine last week. Now I get a http 400 ERROR when attempting to download my chase transactions:
A communication or parsing error occurred. This could be the result of a network problem, a proxy error, or misconfigured server.
Error Description: java.io.IOException: HTTP Error:400 Bad Request

Resetting only updates your connection information. It won't change or delete any of the transactions in your account.

I am having the same problem with Chase only, started this weekend. Regions, Discover, and BOA MasterCard work fine. Using Ver 2014.5 980.
I tried resetting the account, didn't seem to help.

I had this same error and followed the instructions per Ian to remove online function and then re-enable them. It worked form the standpoint that it downloaded from Chase but unfortunately, it downloaded my checking transactions into my Chase CC.
Instead of deleting the new 936 transactions manually, how would I restore the file to a previous save?

When you reset your account, did you use the New Connection button to re-select Chase from the list of banks? That step is necessary to make sure you have the latest connection information.

I'm running into the same issue and confirmed my identity with Chase back in November. I also tried resetting my account per the instructions above, making sure to use the New Connection button but come across the same error when trying to re-establish online banking. I'm using version 2015.1 (1110).

and see if that fixes the issue that you're seeing? You may need to do the reset procedure again after updating.

For what it's worth, I had the same problem, MD 2015.5 (1225), Java 8 update 71, Mac OS 10.10.5. Disabling the connection then re-creating it made the problem go away.
