We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

Which version and build of Moneydance are you using?
To check, open Moneydance and select Moneydance --> About Moneydance
Do you see Moneydance 2022.3 (4068) or Moneydance 2022.2 (4060)?

Are you using the internal browser to manually download your data?
Unfortunately this is not compatible with all banks and it is advisable using an external browser (your usual) to navigate to your bank's website.

Finally, you should launch Moneydance and navigate to File->Import. Navigate to the location where you saved your OFX file and select the account you want to import to by pressing the double arrow - in the resulting window (ensure the account is highlighted). At this point, check the option to Remember this Choice and click OK.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

I have used the built in browser for years to download my banks’ data (US Bank and University of Wisconsin Credit Union (UW Credit Union). The problem I am having is with one of my two accounts with UW Credit union. I will first delete that account and try and reinstall it since my other account with UW Credit Union downloads just fine. I wonder if the new version I just recently updated to in Moneydance is playing a role here. I will also call tech support at UWCU and see if they have any issues. Part of my problem is that I can not see any way to download OXF files from UWU but I will find out.

If I delete that account, does it delete all previously manually entered transactions in that account as well as any transactions in other accounts (i.e. the sister checking account into which I transfer funds from the savings account that is misbehaving.)

mlthomtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/537262322022-04-09T01:59:34Z2022-04-09T01:59:34ZMoneydance browser does not accept cookies

Yes if you delete an account in Moneydance it deletes all transactions in that account and any transfer between that account any any other.

In other words don't even think of doing it.

The internal browser has not had any development in a while, or any other changes that I am aware of, so I suspect that the bank has made a change at some point that is causing the issue, perhaps the old version had been cached something somewhere that was lost in the upgrade, I know that Moneydance now uninstalls the older version before installing the new.

I think the only thing that anyone will be able to suggest at this point in time is to used your system browser for the download.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/537262322022-04-19T19:42:13Z2022-04-19T19:42:13ZMoneydance browser does not accept cookies

If the problem is that a website menu function (like the new dashboards) does not work, you may be able to type in the URL for the part of the website you are trying to access after the website opens in MD. I had been able to do that with US Bank. I got the URL by inspection while in my normal computer browser.

I now use the MD+/PLAID for US Bank. You might try it, but does cost (after a trial period) $2 per month.

avp2
