HSBC interface to MD is via OFX, QIF, or CSV download. For foreign currency purchase transactions, the (2.99%) service fee is generated as a record separate to the purchase transaction record. I would like to combine the 2 amounts into the purchase transaction. I do this manually currently. It's been like this for some years, and HSBC seem unwilling to offer this as an option from their side.
To automate this in MD would require to find the matching service fee transaction for each foreigh purchase, and then delete it before importing (or after importing).
The matching cannot be absolutely perfect (No Tx-IDs in the feed), but there are string contents to identify relevant transactions, dates can be matched and the fee% is fairly static.

Any suggestions as to a best way to make this work would be gratefully applauded! Thanks
