I am curious to learn about Moneydance+. Is there a list of institutes supported? I have 15 accounts that I currently download manually: They are spread across TD Bank NA, American Heritage, Fidelity, Etrade, Chase, Barclay, Citibank. I'd like to see how many Moneydance+ supports.

Also, some of the institutes use 2FA (SMS or Authenticator). How would that work with Moneydance+?

    Hi,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

Although the development team is considering implementing a way of seeing all the banks supported by Moneydance+ via Plaid without signing up to the free 14-day trial, for the time being this is the only option.
Using the 14-day trial you can create a free account at: https://my.plaid.com by clicking GET STARTED at that link. This Plaid account has nothing to do with Moneydance, but it enables you to see the banks supported by Plaid. As part of creating a Plaid account you provide a phone number so that when you sign into Plaid it can use two step verification.
Once signed into your Plaid account you can then click the link to Add an Account.
You get the same screen as if you were in Moneydance+ and you can check the list to see if your Banks are supported.

On a different note, it seems that connecting via Plaid to some banks will always force you to use MFA (code texted to your mobile device). After you do that successfully once, you must not use the same MFA method to log into your bank's website afterwards, using your computer or mobile web browser.
The workaround is to tell your bank's login process that you don't have access to your SMS texts, and let it challenge you in another way (either security question or your physical card details).

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

I'm having little success with Moneydance+:

    - first I tried TD Bank, but was told the TFA was incompatible
    - then I tried PNC, but only ended up with a NO NAME account:

    - last I tried Chase, and got this error:

Generally when you see "no name" listed, you should disconnect it and restart Moneydance.

Upgrading to the latest preview version should hopefully fix the problem for you.
Moneydance 2022.4 (4080) is now available to download from this page.

After running the update, you might be required to disable your current connection on the Online Banking Setup screen first, in order to stop the OFX method (if you were using this previously) to take over Moneydance + and allow your transactions to download as expected . To remove the connection, open Moneydance, select your account, then choose Online > Set Up Online Banking and select the "Disable" button to remove the connection.

Then, in the Set Up Moneydance+ window, you'll need to click on the "None" label in order to select which account in Moneydance corresponds to the account names and numbers on the left side of the window. After doing that and selecting the Moneydance account from the menu, using the ⌘D keyboard shortcut or clicking the Download button when the account is selected will cause Moneydance to download the transactions for that account.

Please keep us posted on your progress, Thank you!

I'm more likely to abandon the trial at this point. Moneydance+ doesn't seem worth it to me, especially due to the multifactor used by TD Bank not being supported. That is one of my more important accouts.

How to I end the trial and remove Moneydance+ from Moneydance?

As you requested, I have cancelled your subscription to Moneydance + now.
You were not charged for using this service as it was cancelled within the trial period.

To remove the connection, open Moneydance, select your account/s and choose Online > Set Up Online Banking. Select the 'Accounts' tab so you're viewing your linked accounts. Select 'Connected' on the right, and choose 'Disconnect' to remove the connection.
    Finally restart Moneydance!
