My bank, Citizens, just stopped supporting direct connect today. Unexpectedly, that broke my link. How do I switch to Web Connect? Is there a way to do bill pay through it?

Thanks.

Bruce Bendertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/546833422022-06-15T21:45:45Z2022-06-15T21:45:45ZSwitching fro\m Direct Connect to Web Connect

I'm a fellow user.

Web Connect is a proprietary method of downloading transactions that is owned by Quicken, hence Moneydance and other vendors generally cannot use it.

Web Connect does not support Bill Pay it is a download transaction technology only.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/546833422022-06-15T22:04:21Z2022-06-15T22:04:22ZSwitching fro\m Direct Connect to Web Connect

Since my bank has discontinued direct connect, what do people use instead? I did see that Intuit is not supporting direct connect any more. I managed a download of one account through the bank and it did load into the account. But that leaves the issue of paying bills. Are we forced to use the bank bill pay?

Thanks.

Bruce Bendertag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/546833422022-06-15T22:15:29Z2022-06-15T22:15:29ZSwitching fro\m Direct Connect to Web Connect

The Quicken range of Personal financial management products has not been owned by Intuit for some years. It was sold y them in 2016 and I believe was sold again in 2021.

Direct Connect is the only way of paying bills directly from Moneydance.

dwg
