Australian Banks; downloads
Your OFX list of banks doesn't include any of my Australian banks. Your manual OFX setup includes a warning against doing a manual OFX setup.
What do you suggest I do if I want to use Moneydance?

I'm a fellow user.
The list of supported banks is of those that provide automatic download services via the Direct Connect protocol, no Australian bank provides this service. The manual setup is again for those banks that provide the automatic service but that Moneydance does not yet have the connection information on file.
With Australian banks you would have to manually download OFX, QIF or CSV files from their internet banking site and import those files, there is no automated solution available.
