Truist OFX service -Transacion downloading and online payment requests failing as of Monday 09/12/22

Starting early Monday morning, any request from MD to Truiist, or an attempt to request an online payment results in this message window:
There was an error communicating with your financial institution. The details of this error are below.

Bank Name: Truist Online Banking
Account: BB&T Debit Account
Account Number: XXXXXXX

A communication or parsing error occurred. This could be the result of a network problem, a proxy error, or misconfigured server.
Error Description: java.io.IOException: HTTP Error:400 Bad Request

    Hello, I have attached a java console log out of MS when I tried to refresh the connection settings

    Hi George,
    We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

    Please navigate to Extensions->Manage Extensions and install the Toolbox.

    Launch Toolbox and navigate to Toolbox Options (on top left corner) and select -
    Update Mode->Yes->Do Back Up Now (recommended). Then, navigate to Menu: Online Banking (OFX) Tools
    In the resulting window, under Update Functions you should select :

    Delete OFX Banking Service / Logon profile (remove_one_service.py)

    Finally, you should try recreating the connection as outlined here.

    Hello Maddy, that appears to have resolved the errors - thank you!
    If you wish to make this solution public, I agree - it might help other MD users.
    BTW, would I be correct to assume that my Truist online connection settings had been corrupted, and needed to be removed (disabled?) and re-defined ?

    I'm very pleased to hear that, George!

    Since the Error:400 Bad Request is a generic error, it could be due to different factors, ie.: server issues, a change a the bank's end etc. Usually, removing the service info and recreating the connection helps resolving the problem as it happened in this case.
