<li>Install and run toolbox extension.<br></li>
<li>Select the option to delete ofx logon profile and delete M&T bank if it exists<br></li>
<li>then run the cleanup banking links.</li>
</ol>
<p>Then try again.</p>

<p>Appears to me to be timing out trying to establish initial connection to my bank.<br>

<p>This is to inform you that our connection specialist is currently monitoring this issue but unfortunately the problem is still ongoing.</p>
<p>According to <a href="https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7919154/m-t-bank-connection/p5">this public Quicken support thread</a>, Direct Connect is still not working for many M&T customers.<br>
One of them reported success removing the "!" from his password. Some of them confirmed having to request the $9.95 fee to be waived. For some others the solution was using M&T Bank Corporation or M&T Mortgage. In conclusion, unfortunately this issue is still ongoing at bank's end. Not only it applies to Moneydance but to other financial software as well.<br>
It is my understanding that M&T Bank uses Direct Connect and also Express Web Connect as outlined <a href="https://www3.mtb.com/quickenconversion">here</a> and I believe that people who have reported success may be using this other service that unfortunately Moneydance doesn't and cannot support.</p>
<p>While awaiting a fix for the Direct Connect service, I would suggest trialing <a href="https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/moneydance/subscribing-to-moneydance">Moneydance +</a>. We offer a 14-day free trial and the subscription is cancelable at any time. For further information, please refer to <a href="https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/moneydance/moneydance-overview">this page</a>.</p>
<p>Alternatively, we'd recommend importing your data manually for the time being. You can download it using the OFX or QFX file format, if available. If not, use the QIF file format. (These files are sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files). You can import the files to Moneydance using File --> Import.<br>
The steps for manually importing your data are outlined in <a href="https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/online-banking-and-bill-pay/manual-downloads">this article</a> from the Knowledge Base.</p>

It just waited about 60 seconds then gave a “next” box but there was no connection.<br>
