MD+ setup problems
I'm trying to set up MD+, and have supposedly successfully connected my BoA accounts, but when I go to look at the connected accounts I get a no name bank and then an online error. Help!

Have you tried closing and re-opening Moneydance? That has helped some with the No Name issue.

Sigh, no luck. Actually now I have 3 no names... not sure what I've done.

I didn't understand why your Online Error showed "Bank Name: Moneydance+"
Have you tried clicking on the "Connected" button and choose "Relink Connection?"
Otherwise, I'd probably try disconnecting and trying again.
If all else fails, I'm sure that IK Support will take note.

Now when I go to Download for a connected account the "Set MoneyDance+" accounts panel shows the list of accounts that I've tried to connect, but when I hit download I get the Online Banking Signup and if I choose MD+ it shows this, but I've already connected them and can see the list.

My MD+ setups went very smoothly.

One last thought (I promise).
Just wondering if you've linked you MD accounts to the MD+ connections on the
Online > Set Up Moneydance+ > Accounts Tab.

Don't worry about "last thoughts". I appreciate your efforts. I'm dead in the water with downloads until I solve this, as I don't want to go back to Direct Connect unless I really have to.
When I go to accounts I see my BoA accounts and Chase account.
When I hit download for one account I get the Online Banking Signup window, which I've already done.

I'm sure that you know that you can perform manual downloads until you get MD+ working, but that said, you stated "When I go to accounts I see my BoA and..."
Do you also see the linked MD accounts?
i.e. Bank name on left then Bank account then ?

I do know about manual downloads of course, but I'm spoiled with Direct Connect : )
OOH I just saw the Click to select account, tried it and then a download and it worked! Now I have to figure out why I didn't get a date range... Have a lot of dups to delete now, but we're getting closer!

Nice! I got a ton of txns at first and just went through and merged them pretty quickly.
You can click on the Linked MD Account and select "Reset Sync date" any time. Then go to Online > Download Account Name You should get the date range option at that point. Newest at the bottom.

I reset the date range, but don't get the date range option. Not a big problem as I just choose unconfirmed and delete those. I really appreciate your help.

OOH again. Choosing the Online menu item and download the highlighted account gets me all, but if I directly hit the download button it brings up the date range. Seems like a bug?

You're welcome Not sure about the bug, but I was referring to the Linked MD Account on Online > Set Up Moneydance+ > Accounts Tab. When you click on the MD linked account, you get the "Reset Sync Date" option. etc., etc., blah, blah, I'm leaving now., lol Be good! :)

wa1oui - I'm not sure of your entire process, but I do read a sort of disconnect between getting a lot of transactions versus setting the sync date.
The most telling line (to me) is this one:
Not a big problem as I just choose unconfirmed and delete those.
The reason you are getting those is that MD+/Plaid has a different FIT_ID than OFX did. FIT_ID is the secret sauce that tells MD that "hey, we've got that one!" and thus calls it a duplicate. So, in this transition - the transactions are downloaded because they didn't match the OFX transactions FIT_ID. Deleting them (i.e. the newer unconfirmed duplicates) basically reopens the floodgate (i.e. gets them again) UNLESS you reset the sync date. Or, as TonyRI did, merge them with the older transactions, thus placing the newer FIT_ID on them.
I won't address the date range thing or the Reset Sync date thing yet, this message is long already.

You may also want to walk through this process to compare what you have versus what the link suggests you do: [I'm not saying redo everything, just use the link to walk through what you currently have and see if there are discrepancies]

Just remember that there's a delay in retrieving posted transactions with MD+ vs Direct Connect.

N.b. You'll have to merge any newly dowladed duplicate txns.when you 'try tomorrow." (i.e. the ones with the blue dots) as dtd reiterated. Then the newly posted txns as on your bank website) are the ones that I was referring to when I mentioned the delay goiing forward.
@dtd Thanks for chiming in. I mentioned the reset sync date as wa1oui was just setting up and stated that he didn't get that option. I'm not sure if he changed the date range in the register, or actually clicked on "reset sync date."

After my first problem I did change the date to the minimum, which was a week ago, and downloaded everything. I will hope that tomorrow should be only be one day, but it's great to get 2 banks that didn't have Direct Connect... Thanks all for your help.
