Try this:

launch Moneydance, select the relevant account and choose Online > Set Up Online Banking. Select the "Disable" button to remove the OFX connection and restart Moneydance.

It's from this article, which was recently updated to include information about accounts that were previously connected via Direct Connect/OFX Service:

https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/moneydance/connect-accounts-w...

If that fails/or in lieu of the above, you can use the Toolbox extension and run:

Toolbox Options > Update Mode > Make a backup > Menu: Online Banking Tools > Delete OFX Banking Service/ Logon Profile...

Regards,

Well a thread can be cancelled using code, of course... But I’m just telling you that nothing’s built into the UI to do this.

(Not support, just a fellow user)

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/564585822022-10-23T17:54:41Z2022-10-23T17:54:41ZCancelling Direct Connect after activating Moneydance +

Thanks Stuart. I am an idiot and put my comments here into the wrong thread of discussion. I was thinking about this one https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/online-banking/24322-possible-to-cancel-menu-online-download-all-accounts and got confused. Sorry.

But your point is well taken. I actually have written a Python plugin for MD that handles backups a bit differently than by default. I would guess that I need some way to get an identifier of the running code thread in order to cancel it. That's pretty typical. And then I'd need some UI somewhere to trigger it. I figure I can handle the latter. But not sure about the former. Any tips are appreciated. Cheers

whitedavidptag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/564585822022-10-23T18:09:05Z2022-10-23T18:59:39ZCancelling Direct Connect after activating Moneydance +

Refer the other thread….

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/564585822022-10-23T22:54:23Z2022-10-23T22:54:24ZCancelling Direct Connect after activating Moneydance +

Thank you- that worked!
