Bank Data Not Downloading
Greetings:
I'm having difficulty with Bank of America data downloading into Moneydance.
I go through the steps with Plaid, and it indicates I'm connoted.
But I get an error message, pointing to Java not connecting.
I know others are having a similar problem.
Does Moneydance have a solution?
Thanks for your assistance,
Al Gephart

Hi Al,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
If you were using the OFX method prior to switching to Moneydance +, in order to stop the OFX method taking over Moneydance + and allow your transactions to download as expected, you should clear the current connection information still stored within the program.
To achieve this, please navigate to Extensions->Manage Extensions and install the Toolbox.
Launch Toolbox and navigate to Toolbox Options (on top left corner) and select -
Update Mode Then, navigate to Menu: Online Banking (OFX) Tools
In the resulting window, under Update Functions you should select :
Delete OFX Banking Service / Logon profile (remove_one_service.py)
Finally, restart Moneydance and recreate the connection as outlined here.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Thank you Mandy,
All the instructions I've read fail to tell you to download the toolbox extension.
I'm not happy with my download experiences but am too frustrated right now to ask for help

FWIW the Toolbox Extension is not for everyday use. It is used on those occasions where the standard built in functions are not working correctly or when there is something that needs fixing. The standard instructions would normally not mention it.
This extension is normally used by very experience users or by those being guided by these experienced users or support staff.

The information is stated here.
If using the "Disable" button to remove the OFX connection (and restarting Moneydance) is not enough, you can use the Toolbox fix. It's faster, reliable and easy to use!
Please keep us posted on your progress, Thank you!

I followed the standard instructions and never found a disable button. The
toolkit is advanced but it worked and when I restarted MD. Everything was
ok.
