Moneydance+/Plaid joined — error messages
Like so many others, I discovered that BoA was no longer downloading my accounts, came here, and found my way to the explanation at https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/moneydance/connect-accounts-with-moneydance.
I subscribed to Moneydance+, gave my bank information to Plaid, connected my accounts. At "Set Up MoneyDance+", the Accounts tab shows my BoA accounts as connected and properly linked to Moneydance accounts.
But I can't download anything. For all my BoA accounts, I get this error message:
There was an error communicating with your financial institution. The details of this error are below.
There was an error communicating with the server. This could be the result of a network problem, or the server may be offline or not responding. Please try the operation again later.
Error Description: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused
Can you help?
I did add an account for a card at a different bank that never had OFX downloading, and it is working fine via Plaid.

Hi David,
We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.
In order to stop the OFX method taking over Moneydance + and allow your transactions to download as expected, you should clear the current connection information still stored within the program.
To achieve this, please navigate to Extensions->Manage Extensions and install the Toolbox.
Launch Toolbox and navigate to Toolbox Options (on top left corner) and select -
Update Mode Then, navigate to Menu: Online Banking (OFX) Tools
In the resulting window, under Update Functions you should select :
Delete OFX Banking Service / Logon profile (remove_one_service.py)
Finally, restart Moneydance and recreate the connection as outlined here.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.
