Moneydance+ does not match balances
Hi all - I'm trying to connect to Edward Jones for 4 accounts: 1) a money market bank account, 2) a Roth IRA, 3/4) 2 529 college savings.
The IRA and 529s each are comprised of 3 index funds. I connected Edward Jones to Moneydance+ and set up 4 new accounts in Moneydance. A couple of questions:
- I'm trying to "match" the proper Ed Jones account w/ the proper moneydance account, but the account numbers in the list do not match my actual Ed Jones account numbers... how do I know which one is which? am I missing something here?
- for the actual transactions, it's not downloading the actual shares / cost per share of the 3 index funds. It seems to be just downloading the dollar value of the trade at the time (?) It's simply showing a "cash balance" (which does not reflect reality) there are no securities associated.
When I tracked these accounts manually, I would have a "portfolio" that kept track of the # of shares of each of the 3 securities. It would calculate the "total value", and show a "cash balance" of $0.
Am I approaching this incorrectly?
thanks in advance!
