Chase and Plaid: how to select from multiple accounts
Like many, I've had to convert my chase accounts from OFX to Plaid. I told Chase I wanted to link both credit cards. Problem is the Moneydance+ association window now has two listings for CREDIT CARD (USD) but no obvious way for me to tell which connection goes to which account -- no partial account numbers, no card sub-brand names (eg, Chase Freedom), nothing! I'm afraid to f-around and find out lest I do damage. Any of those special "one weird trick" things for me to know how to do the account association correctly the first time?

Try toolbox extension, online banking tools, the first option. Say NO to redact output. Halfway down it shows the md+ connections and it attempts to show the last 4 digits of your linked accounts. This may help.

Tried your idea, but I don't see how to map report content to the association window. If it's 100% true 100% of the time that the order of accounts in the report matches the order of accounts in the window, then we have something. I don't have that confidence.
Thoughts?

That section is exactly the same sort order as the md+ setup screen. I designed it that way. The report looks like this.
E.g. (last digits: ...2007 on mine):
So backup first. Match one. Test that. Then on to the next.

Alternatively. Delink the others so that only one account is showing. Then use toolbox and then link that one. Then link another account and repeat. Then you can be 100% certain.

Your report reflects already-assigned accounts; mine differs because the accounts are not assigned(?). Nevertheless, are you saying the order shown within the highlighted box is the same order as the account assignment window shown at the top of this thread?
I want to be sure because the order of accounts is different in the lines below the highlighted box.

No. You are looking in the wrong place. You need to be in the section titled:
MD+ CONNECTIONS (should duplicate Menu>Online>Setup Moneydance+):
As per my post above.
Also, you must say NO to redact output as otherwise you won’t see this section.

The report is not redacted but the section you mention is not present. I'm using Toolbox build 1055.

You need to be on md 2022.5(4091)?

2022.4.
And further down the rabbit hole we go...

Upgrade. It’s free. It’s better.

@sportbiker - just a user here.
One other thing you can try that you may be more comfortable with (and it should work for 2022.4 if you don't wish to upgrade for some reason) is to login to your chase website login and assign nicknames to each account - then reconnect to chase via MD+ and the nicknames should show up instead of just CREDIT CARD.
You may have to delete the original connection you don't wish to touch yet, but I have seen nicknames show up (with Chase) just through the trick of "close moneydance/open moneydance/refresh Chase connection" bit.

@dtd: Brilliant! Worked like a charm and now both Chase accounts are connected...to their correct associations.
rant
@dtd and @Stuart Beesley: Seems I can't go more than a couple of days without some program or utility or component begging me to upgrade. It's a time sucking, attention distracting nuisance, esp when 99% of upgrades offer no visible benefit. In the world of Agile, if you change a text box's label from a comma to a semi-colon, that's worth a release cycle.
Continuous releases are (in my view) up there with the impossibility of avoiding endless "take a survey!" nags. It seems like I can't wipe my butt on the toilet without the toilet paper then asking me if I'd like to take a survey to rate its performance.

@sportbiker.... don't shoot @Stuart and @dtd - we are just users trying to help... We have nothing to do with release cycles.... 😉 /rant-feedback

Of course! Thanks to both of you I solved the problem. You both seemed befuddled that I didn't jump to update, so I wanted to explain myself, I hope humorously.

There's no reason you should know, but 2022 was when md+ was 'created' and there have been 100s of releases.. Mostly these 'fix' md+ issues... Hence, it's more important that usual to be on the current MD version/build when using md+
