Plaid update frequency
Plaid sync with MD seems to be usually a week or more behind when the transactions actually hit my bank. Is this the expected timeframe? MD+'s usefulness significantly degraded if so...

just a user - I tend to find the delay to be about 2-5 days, except during periods like holidays (we just had four days) - when it can be up to a week.
I fault the banks who dropped OFX downloads with no informing of their customers. It's even worse for those who used BillPay - they were just left out to dry and probably some didn't even get their bills paid and were dunned for it.
So, yes, MD+/Plaid is not as good as OFX, and that's the way the banks appear to want it to be. If OFX is still working for me, I stick with OFX, and reluctantly move to MD+ when a bank drops OFX without informing me. (I have yet to hear of a bank telling their customers this change is coming)

just a user - one suggestion if 2-5 days (or 7, as you assert for your bank) is insufficient, you may have a bank that allows you to download OFX/QFX files by hand and upload them to Moneydance. Not optimal either, but a process can be set up by you to make it more or less a mechanical thing.
I did that for a few banks without OFX before MD+ existed

I played around with Mint for a while a few years back and it seemed to be fairly quick - for some reason I thought the underlying tech was the same as Plaid. I don't think any of my banks support QFX/OFX. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Bank dependant.
In the U.K. with Open Banking the txns all always appear by next day.
