downloading transactions
Do I need to purchase this product before I can download from my bank? I am in trial mode and it will not connect to my bank

No in trial mode the software is fully functional so you can try out downloads.
You need to provide information about your attempts to connecting to the bank, e.g method used, bank name, error messages etc.

Hello,
The demo version is fully functional and allows you to manually enter 100 transactions. Imported transactions are not limited, so you'll be able to fully test things like importing from other programs and connections with your bank.
If it's not working, I agree more details would be helpful, like how far you are getting up in the setup process, which bank you are having trouble with, the error messages you are receiving, etc.

USAA changed things a lot in January 2021, and messed up the OFX download for most financial software. It was fixed a couple of months later, but needs that fix to make it work properly. You can do this with the trial version you have.

I note that these instructions were written in late 2021, and the Toolbox has had a few updates since then, you might find that Advanced Mode is now Update mode, and the boxes you are supposed to click might be a bit different. If you can't figure out what has changed, feel free to ask here.
