unlinking online banking?
Love moneydance. Love that money dance will download transactions directly from my accounts ... however:
Several years ago MD downloaded directly from my bank accounts. Now with 3 step authentication my bank requires, I have to use moneydance +.
When I go to download by selecting online -> download all accounts, some of my accounts download directly from MD+ while others (from the same bank) are asking for passwords, which don't work anymore thanks to three step authentication. I have to choose these accounts individually and then choose Online -> download "account name" transactions -> download from moneydance+: "account name." How can I get these accounts to forget wanting a password but instead download from moneydance+ when i choose "download all accounts"? When I choose "Set Up Mondeydance+" all my bank accounts are listed and matched correctly with my correlating moneydance account. They just wont download with the group; I have to download them separately.
I think this problem started when I was originally trying to set the accounts up to download from my bank, before setting up a moneydance+ account. Yet some accounts fixed and some did not.
One other difference I notice is that when I select these misbehaving accounts and then choose to "download "account name" transactions" I have to select from a list to download from moneydance+. (see attached jpeg) How do I get rid of those other options so it will download directly? Any ideas? thanks :)

just a user - it appears you have both direct download (the first one) and MD+ set up.
The default is to use the direct download rather than MD+, so you have to delete the direct download to use moneydance+ downloads. If it works, you should go to the direct connect area and click disconnect. If it doesn't work, I think the Toolbox extension can get rid of it, but I don't remember the exact process.
Hope that helps. You said the reason you moved away from OFX direct connect was due to required 3 step authentication... I have multiple USAA accounts and although authentication is recommended (and I do get a phone text message when I log in), I'm still able to use OFX direct connect for USAA vs moneydance. Just my experience.

Run toolbox. Does it alert you to a problem?
