Question about online banking settings.
The bank is TD bank. I have FOUR accounts with them and TWO user ID's. The first UserID has access to accounts A and B. The other UserID has access to accounts A, C and D.
I first setup accounts A & B with my UserID. That worked and I matched both of them in the "Online | Match Online Accounts" window.
I then enabled accounts C & D for online access using the other UserID. Both C & D downloading successfully. A & B also seem to be downloading successfully.
However, when I went into "Online | Match Online Accounts" to match the two new accounts, only accounts A, C and D appear when I select TD Bank Online Banking in the dropdown. Account B has disappeared. Account A is still matched (I did not set this up again with the second userid), and accounts C & D are unmatched (yet download ok).
Q. Shouldn't all accounts that are online enabled show up under TD Bank Online Banking? Is there a way to see the configuration of accounts better?
Q. Is there a way to possibly get deeper information from the "online Name/Number" in the match online screen? Unfortunately C & D were downloaded identically as "Young Saver Stmt" and I can't differentiate which account belongs to which kid.....
I thought about 'un-enabling' online access for one of them, but them I see the other checking account there which I didn't set up with the new ID.
Thanks

just a user - what often works (but not always, depends on the bank) is to set up nicknames for each account that is identical - try changing each Young Saver Stmt on the TD website to something with a unique name.
I don't know how you have A,B and A,C,D enabled, or categorized, but two examples I have are Schwab (two user ids) where I have access to certain of my spousal accounts and vice versa. When linking with MD+, only mine are shown to me, and only my spouse's are shown to her [I log in as my spouse...]
Similarly for Chase credit cards, I have FOUR userids - my personal, my business, spouse personal, spouse business, with W, X, Y, Z accounts. I've also combined the personal accounts to show in Chase business. I end up with four Chase categories, with the W, X, Y, Z showing to link.
Is it possible you have TWO TD Bank Online entries, with A, B linked under one, and A, C, D under the other? Or something similar to expose all the accounts, just maybe not the way you expected? Is B still downloading even if you don't immediately see it?
Hope that helps you figure it out.

I will definitely see if I can nickname the accounts on the website. Great suggestions.
My use case is same as yours. My USERID has access to joint checking and my business checking. My wife's USERID also has joint checking but then has the kids savings accounts. The overlap is the joint checking.
Everything seems to be downloading ok, it just doesn't show the biz checking in the status screen.
It could be nothing, but when faced with oddity in technology, I like to know what's going on before proceeding and making things worse... :D

UPDATE: downloads are not working across all my TD Bank accounts.
Can someone confirm the proper procedure for storing two different User ID's for the same institution? I think what is happening is that only one is being stored and as I correct one account it breaks the other.

Answering my own question, but I'm thinking advanced setup and duplicate the settings for TD Bank and call it "TD Bank Online Banking - Wife". This would let me store distinct userid's with each service.
Anyone know where to find the OFX settings for the built in TD Bank Online Banking configuration?
Name
OFX Inst Org
OFX Inst ID
OFX Connection URL:
Or maybe a copy 'service' command ? :D

Toolbox. Online banking tools menu. There is an option to show profile settings.

Lot's of info in that file. Any guidance on which result is mapping to:
OFX Institution Org: would this be getFIOrg()
OFX Institution ID: would this be getFIId() ?
I think I got the URL - https://ofx.tdbank.com/eftxweb/td.ofx

Looks like this trick won't work. When I advance past the custom ofx screen, the dialog that pops up asking for credentials has the other username pre-populated and the Financial institution name reverted back to TD Bank Online Banking...
Good news is those settings - getFIOrg() and GetFIId() seem to be the right ones. When I changed the values it wouldn't work.....
Bad news, I need to continue experimenting....

Oh, wait - you use OFX direct connect, and not MD+ for this? Ok, that says a lot.
I'll dig up my notes on how I made Chase work with 4 logins before Chase abandoned direct connect, but I assure you, it was somewhat messy.
Have to go digging - as I made it work quite a while back, and don't remember the details. --- And, given the creation of MD+, it may have gotten better (or worse) with OFX.

note: I did not try to make two different OFX connection points, and indeed, it was very hard to get the correct userid/password into each item. As you say, MD often did whatever it wanted to do. I think Stuart and I did come up with a way to use Toolbox to help (with USAA in particular when that was an issue), but I'll have to go dig up that info as well.
But I did get Chase working with 4 ids before they gave up OFX direct connect, I just don't remember all that I did at the time.

Note that I'm blowing smoke here, since I'm no longer sure how you are doing this, especially with the "Match Online Accounts" bit, which didn't exist when I was doing this.
Instead of using the new feature mentioned. Go to each account, "Setup Online Banking", disconnect what you currently have, and then set it up again, entering the correct id/pwd for that account. I THINK that might create a unique profile for that bank/account. And that unique profile can store a unique id/pwd that is distinct from others. (That said, even when I did it that way, sometimes moneydance would grab one of the other passwords instead) - but just a memory before I go looking it up.
Make a good backup before you start trying to implement an old memory of mine.

I did delete all the old profiles and double checked using Toolbox (Stuart you are a giant amongst men) and there were no longer references in the configuration for TD Bank.
I reconfigured three of the TD accounts using my wife's account since she has access to 3 out of the 4 accounts. I started trying to add the fourth with mine, but it looked like it was going to do the same thing over again, so I'm just leaving it as it is.
My business account is only for my consulting side gig and doesn't see a lot of activity so I can enter them manually.
I think your memory is spot on. MD will sometimes grab the wrong thing. In my case all accounts downloaded for a while using two ID's until it didn't.
I'm using 2022.6 and the matching dialog I'm referring to is under 'Online / Match Online Accounts' (screen shot attached) and you match there. Where is says TD Bank Online Banking is a dropdown and you can pick all the ofx 'services' you have configured. Seems like a service can only exist once, and what I've found is the last user ID used to setup that service is the one that appears.
What I find odd is that when you set up an online account to begin with, you basically match the account then and there. Not sure why these settings might be held elsewhere.
BTW, I did change the descriptive names online through the bank website, but I still got the vanilla 'young saver' description. Doesn't help much. Leaving it blank for now as they are downloading fine.

Online match accounts for ofx profiles is useless/irrelevant (from memory).
Toolbox has a feature in online banking menu to configure multiple users against one profile. Give it a go. It might work.
Blow all TD profiles away. Set up TD again and get it working. Then try the toolbox. Ofx authentication mngt. Edit/setup multiple userids.

That's what Stuart did in Toolbox back in the day when we had trouble with USAA.
I don't know what I'd do without the Toolbox extension, and Quote Loader.
