how can you confirm online payments have been transmitted
is there a transmit function for created online payments?

You can create payments with institutions that support direct connect bill pay in Moneydance. Full instructions for setting up Bill Pay are on page 40 of our user guide, which you can download here:

Does MD support Express Web Connect? That is the interface utilized by Quicken 2015 and US Bank. I have previously reviewed your user manual, page 40, and it does not address these issues and it doesn’t work as shown. My brokerage account utilizes direct connect. If it doesn’t your claim of “works just like Quicken with regard to working with my bank” are not true.

Hi Hunter,
No, Moneydance doesn't support Express Web Connect, however US Bank supports "Direct Connect" access, so Moneydance can connect to them to directly download.
You may have to enable "Direct Connect" access before directly downloading from them. You should be able to do so by going to:
http://www.usbank.com/cgi_w/cfm/ubank_online/quicken.cfm
and your initial password should be your SSN. The connection also supports bill pay.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I have already enabled all my accounts for online access to US Bank via the defined procedures successfully via SSN and PIN. When doing so in Quicken 2015 it clearly uses Express Web and direct connect to my brokerage account. I have no choice in how it does so. With MD a connection is established for downloading from US Bank but no up loads, bill payments, will occur. Even when I have explicitly set up specific accounts to support online payments. Using the Make online payment function – I enter it, It posts to the account ledger and stays there never transmitting. My initial question posted in the discussion group was how do you transmit and track the status of the payment. The menu screens on page 40 to 42 of your manual don’t address the “transmit and track” issues.

Hi Hunter,
The transaction in the ledger is just an indication that the payment has been submitted. To view the status of the payment, go to the Online -. Online Bill Payment menu option. Click on the payments tab to view current pending and recently posted payments. A status of "will process" means that the bank has received the payment and will process it on the appropriate date.
