Importing Transactions using QIF and avoiding duplicates
Because no Uk banks are in your institutions list for online banking I have to use a QIF download to import transactions. I can only download files for set dates (e.g. a specific statement month), which means I can get duplicates if i download mid month and then again at the end of the month.
In Quicken there was an interim stage that allowed me to review the import, allocate categories. The interim stage also checked the file against what was already in the register, identified what was already in the register through a matching process, and effectively did a reconciliation as you verified the transactions.
Am I right in saying this feature is not available in Moneydance? Given the version of Quicken i was using is 11 years old i am little surprised.
