transactions to current a/c's, i only recently have also been
getting an early payment on two closed m/c and amex accounts posted
along with the current charges, resulting in an erroneous cr.
balance. i delete the payments but then it happens each time i
download new charges. since the closed a/c's are from 2014 and
earlier i have deleted all the transactions thinking that would
solve the problem but it doesn't. old payment still coming from
somewhere. how do i get rid of the old payment getting onto current
a/c's and solve the problem?</p></div>james akerstag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/368046452015-05-19T21:08:29Z2015-05-19T21:08:29Zgetting payment made on closed cc a/c when downloading new a/c transactions<div><p>I suspect what you are seeing is auto categorization of
downloaded transactions. When you download transactions into your
current account MD will attempt to assign the best matching
category, which in this case is to your credit card account.
Instead of deleting the transaction in the credit card account you
should change the category on the transaction in your current
account.</p>

to delete the cc account and when it said set i didn't understand
and wiped out all my accounts. downloaded both cc accounts again
from citicards and have only put categories on transactions from
1/1/15 on.<br>
but checking a/c is at chase which only supports quicken (can't you
get them to authorize md?) and i had to manually reenter all checks
and autopay items from jan. 1--some 170 or so. if there's a benefit
it's that all old accounts are now gone and won't interfere.<br>

ps very long time to get a response from your co. still think you
should have chat and/or phone capability for customer service, even
if you have to charge a modest amount. if i had known that response
time to this and previous problems would take so long (with no chat
or phone options) i would have gone with a different program.</p></div>jakerstag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/368046452015-05-21T13:41:05Z2015-05-21T13:41:05Zgetting payment made on closed cc a/c when downloading new a/c transactions<div><p>Hello,</p>
<p>We do indeed support direct connections with Chase. Many
financial institutions will require you to enable your accounts for
application-based online banking. You can accomplish this by asking
your bank to set up your account for direct connections from
Quicken. Moneydance uses exactly the same OFX server connection
protocol as Quicken but your bank representative may not know this
and mistakenly believe that you can not connect in Moneydance.
Calling up your bank and stating precisely the following should get
you started. "Please enable direct connect on my account such that
I can connect to your servers directly with Quicken. Also give me
the login credentials I need to connect Quicken to this
service."</p>
<p>It looks like you may be able to enable this online at <a href="https://www.chase.com/business-banking/online-banking/download-account-activity">
https://www.chase.com/business-banking/online-banking/download-acco...</a></p>
<p>Application-based online banking often requires a different
login/PIN than the ones that are used for ATM or web-based banking.
When you enable your account for access from Moneydance or Quicken,
your financial institution should let you know what customer
ID/login and PIN to use.</p>
<p>Please let me know if I can be of further assistance,</p>
