you enter/make the payment instead of the date entered in the bill
pay window for due, or processing, date. This adds unnecessary
confusion when comparing the same un-cleared payment in MD and the
paying institution's online website.

I do not know this is the same operation as in pre-MD 2015
versions, but believe I would have noticed if it was.

avp2tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/368278392015-05-18T19:29:38Z2015-05-18T19:29:38ZBug: Bil Pay Transaction Date

Hi Avp2,

I'm terribly sorry for our delayed response! Somehow your
inquiry slipped through the cracks.

The payment date method has changed to use the date that your
financial institution's server replies to Moneydance about when the
transaction will be registered with them. With many banks, this
will most likely be the date that the funds are debited from your
account, though all financial institutions have different
preferences and restrictions for when they enter the transaction
into their system (like financial institutions that don't support
payments on weekends or holidays, for example).

Based on the feedback we've received on this issue, we're going
to add an option in the next release of Moneydance that allows you
to select which date is used. In the meantime, you can manually
change the date in the register in Moneydance to your preferred
date.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance!
