<p>From the Moneydance menu bar, go to File > Preferences.</p>
<p>In the resulting window, click the 'Network' tab.</p>
<p>Check-mark the option to 'Use Bank Dates for Merged
Transactions'. (or un-check it if it already <em>is</em>
check-marked.)</p>

<p>Many of my own purchases can take two to three days to process
by the CC company.</p>
<p>As the option states it will use the bank dates when merging.
Thus you would need to manually enter the txn with the desired
purchase date and then have Moneydance ignore the bank date when
you merge the two txns.</p>
<p>Manually entering txns pretty much defeats the purpose of
downloading the data, so the slight difference in the purchase /
posting date is likely something that isn't worth bothering
with.</p>

The only very small issue is that purchases made at the end of the
month will probably import into the following month. That will
affect the monthly figures. So, I will change those manually.<br>
