<p>This is an open standard system for the exchange of financial
data. What Mint and Quicken can used is a closed system developed
by Quicken that uses the web site. Nice idea but Intuit likes to
charge other vendors to use it - I believe they also charge the
bank a licensing fee too.</p>
<p>The only people a bank might listen to are its customers, so it
needs customers to request that the bank offers this service, a
bank is unlikely to listen to IK. more likely to tell them where to

making the decision on these issues and explained that I wanted it
and passed along the Privacy blogpost to include what I want and
why I want it. They may not change their mind yet but I know the

it's helpful in convincing them to support direct connect. If they
do decide to add support, just let us know and we'll add the
