problem connecting to Capital One Investing
I have an Sharebuilder account that was set up for downloading from Ing. Capital One bought Ing and changed the brand from Sharebuilder to Capital One Investing. Somewhere along the way, my ability to download broke but I've just been living with it. Now I want to fix it.
I went to the Cap One site and generated a new PIN (direct access is set to "allowed"). Back in Moneydance, I when I select the Cap One (previously Sharebuilder) account in my list of investment accounts and choose Setup Online Banking, I see Sharebuilder in the pop up menu. I do not see a button to disable the connection. I click "New connection" and select Cap One Investing in the institution list, then click OK. However, Cap One Investing does not then show itself in the pop up menu of institutions -- Sharebuilder still shows. If I try to create a new connection still using Sharebuilder, I go through the process only to receive an error about "online enrollment required," which I think is a false message since Cap One has me set as Allowed.
Please advise.

Can you try completely resetting your connection to your bank and see if that fixes the problem you're seeing? To do this, you'll need to force clear the current connection information for your bank in Moneydance. I'm sending a file called remove_one_service.py that will help do that. Before proceeding, please back up your Moneydance data set, just in case something goes wrong. You can create a backup using the File->"Export Backup" menu option. So far, this hasn't caused any problems, but better safe than sorry!
To use the file, first save it to your computer and then follow these steps:
Hopefully, that will work. If it doesn't, let me know and we'll continue troubleshooting.

No luck. I deleted the Sharebuilder connection:
I selected the Capital One account and began the online process:
It still came through as Sharebuilder:
If I try to complete the setup anyway, I receive this error:
But from the Cap One site, there’s no blockage:
Kind regards,

I've removed the outdated SHareBuilder connection from our list. Could you try using the python script again to delete that connection from your file and set up the Capital One connection? Hopefully it will work this time.
