Wells Fargo quit support?
Hi, I tried to download my transactions into my 2011 Moneydance.
Got Error 2000, saying I need to upgrade my software. I upgraded to
2015 MD for Mac and I still get the same error. Can you help
here?
Sincerely,
Paige Price

We've updated our connection information for your bank, so you should be able to connect now. You will need to disable your current connection to your bank and then recreate it using the New Connection button on the Online Banking Setup screen. To do so, you can follow these steps:
1) Select your bank account in Moneydance
2) Select the Online->Setup Online Banking button/menu
3) Click the Disable button. If you don't see a disable button, continue to step 5.
4) Select the Online->Setup Online Banking button/menu (again)
5) Click the New Connection button and select your bank from the list of available institutions that pops up. Hit OK
6) Continue with the setup process, entering your username/password
7) Repeat steps 1-6 for any additional accounts
Make sure you pick new connection, even though your bank is still one of the connection choices after you disable it. Choosing your bank from the list of available banks will force Moneydance to download the updated information, which should then allow you to connect.
Please let me know if you continue to have connection problems after recreating your connection.

Thank you, Ethan, for the quick reply. I had done these steps - got
through the Disable and the New Connection and picked Wells Fargo, put in
the PW, and then still got the same error. Now I cannot open MD at all; I
click the icon and it does not open. It looks to me like it overwrote my
old MD so that I wonder if I have lost my file all together. I am sorry.
Can you help?

Hello Paige,
Nothing you should have done in my instructions would have caused the program to disappear. Can you please clarify where this icon is that you are trying to click on? If it's on your desktop, can you please try going to your Programs or Applications folder (depending on what operating system you are using) and open the program from there?

Hi,
When I open the MD app in Applications, it puts an icon in the dock, as in
showing it is open. When I click the icon on the dock, nothing happens.
I'm on a Mac OS X 10.10.3.

Same error from Wells Fargo. Followed the instructions given above but still failing. Updated to latest MD. Would appreciate a response.

Can you try resetting your Moneydance preferences and see if that fixes the issue that you're seeing? To do this, you have to rename your config.dict file. If you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:
Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/config.dict
or:
Library/Application Support/Moneydance/config.dict
If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder and select Go>Go to Folder> and type in:
~/Library
This should pull up your local Library folder.
Once you've found your config.dict file, rename it (to something like config2.dict, for example), then open Moneydance again and it will appear as though you've just installed Moneydance for the first time, so you'll have to re-enter your license key and may have to locate and open your data set again. If you run into any problems, you can simply close Moneydance and rename the original config.dict file back to config.dict and open Moneydance again to restore your original settings.
If that doesn't work, can you send me your errlog.txt file? If you're using Mac OS X, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:
Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt
or:
Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt
If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder, open Finder and select Go -> Go to Folder and type in:
~/Library
This should pull up your local Library folder.

I have the Linux Debian version and have experienced the same problem accessing Wells Fargo. I followed the instructions above and continue to receive the same error.
