Web list of transactions doesn't match download QFX file contents

This isn't an MD problem, but maybe someone here will have an idea. I download a qfx file from Barlcay (Aadvantage )card as they sadly don't do direct connect. Lately, the transactions are fine in the web view but when I download the qfx file, even though I give today's date, the file only has transactions up to several days ago. The total due in the qfx file IS correct. I tried this with a csv download and it was identical. I've placed a trouble ticket with Barclay, but you never know what will happen. Anyone else ever run into this?

This is quite typical of banks. The transactions available for download are often a few days behind the latest they show on their website. My understanding is that this is intentional on their part. The bank wants you to visit their website so they can make you special offers for other financial products. For this reason they don't really want people using personal finance software or aggregation sites and one of the ways they discourage their use is by limiting transaction history available for download.

Thanks Ben, sadly that does make sense. On the other hand 99% of the time I'm fine with this bank. I called tech support yesterday, and after 4 days of no new transactions they appeared this morning.
