Automate paycheck details download
Hi:
I'm wondering if there's anyway to automate the download of my paycheck details and entry into the register (either built-in or scripting).
Thank you,
Bill

Hi Bill,
Take a look at this Moneydance KB article and see if it helps.

What I did, when I was still gainfully employed, was to set up the Payday Reminder with the required splits and commit it to the register on my payday.
When the direct-deposit was downloaded from my bank, it was merged with the 'Reminder / splits-deposit'.

Thanks Kevin. I was looking for a way to automatically download may paycheck details directly into the register (since my paycheck details are available through a payroll website.)

If you know Java you may be able to create an extension that could do it. If you can download a file with the data you may be able to use scripting to create something like a QIF file that could be imported.
The question is if it is worth the effort.
