Failed Login to download online banking transactions
Moneydance is passing through the wrong password, resulting in excessive failed login attempts requiring me to reset password at my bank. I have verified with bank representative, in real time, that when I enter the correct password into Moneydance, the bank is receiving it as an incorrect password.

What bank are you trying to connect to? Also, have you ever successfully connected, or is this your first time trying?

I’ve never had issues with connecting to TD Bank until early July, when these messages first started appearing.

Can you try re-creating your connection with your financial institution and see if that fixes the issue that you're seeing? You will need to disable your current connection to your bank and then recreate it using the New Connection button on the Online Banking Setup screen. To do so, you can follow these steps:
Make sure you pick new connection, even though your bank is still one of the connection choices after you disable it. Choosing your bank from the list of available banks will force Moneydance to download the updated information, which should then allow you to connect.
Please let me know if you continue to have connection problems after recreating your connection.

Problem solved — TD Bank advised that special characters cannot be used in the password as those are for some reason not accepted by their server. I removed special characters and it now works. Might be worth adding this to your standard FAQs as a possible cause of connection problems.
