connect service, certainly NAB and Commonwealth do not, so I would
not be expecting any other banks to do so. If one of the majors
provided it I would expect all to.

Direct Connect requires more infrastructure, it is not the
online access that the banks do provide.

The only banks I have seen provide such a service are some U.S.
based banks, probably as Intuit's Quicken has the capability and
they are a big player in the North American personal financial
software market. The Australian version of Quicken, developed and
marketed by Reckon does not have direct connect capability.

The banks here however do in general provide the ability to
download from their web site MSmoney or Quicken files, in formats
like QIF. These can be manually downloaded and imported into
Moneydance. It has been some years since I was a Westpac customer
so cannot tell you where to find the files or the exact formats
Westpac provides.

Given the structure of the online websites I doubt if it would
be possible to automate the download, so would expect it to remain
a manual process to a degree.

dwg
