Can this be set up with U.K. banks?
There are only U.S. banks in the drop down menu for the online banking option. Can this be set up using U.K. banks such as Santander ?

Generally it is only some banks in the U.S. that offer Direct Connect services - it requires more infrastructure and services in the banks computer systems, so it is really a Banks decision whether to offer this functionality..
Without the bank providing the capability the best way to get your transactions into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can download files in various formats, including: QFX, QIF, OFX and OFC files (sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files), and all of these will import cleanly into Moneydance. You can also open your bank's download page directly (after entering the appropriate address in the Account->Edit Account menu) by going to the menu bar and selecting Online->Open Account Website.
