I started getting this error tonight:

"A communication or parsing error occurred. This could be the result of a network problem, a proxy error, or misconfigured server.
Error Description: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: No trusted certificate found"

I downloaded the latest version of the software and updated the program and still get this error. My bank is Wells Fargo.

BECU is looking into the problem from their side, expecting to have a response in 5-7 working days. Last response from Infinite Kind was Post 49 on February 12th.

Is there a way to obtain a more specific description of the problem with the headers, that we might be able to share with BECU support? Any log files that we can parse? A method by which we can capture the transaction data and show BECU what bits are missing?

    I use a non-MD tool and data from http://www.ofxhome.com/index.php/institution/view/825
The response is below (with a fake userName/password)

I suspect MD will use similar settings so the response likely to be similar.

Nice tool and analysis, many thanks hleofxquotes!

So on the BECU side it's simply a service availability issue, and they appear to be making some progress on that front as I haven't been able to replicate the problem so far this morning - all download attempts have been successful.
