Money Dance is great for a freelancer (business use).

Having recently sold my business and downsized into semi-retirement working freelance I found myself having to manage my business finances on my own, previously I employed an accountant. Reluctant to use an online service I gave Moneydance a look, and although not billed as suitable for business, with a bit of lateral thinking it works really well, for me at least, but I suspect any freelancer with simple business accounting needs will find the same.

My requirements are simple... I needed to record payments to me from my retainer clients, additional payments for Adhoc work, plus record all my outgoings. Although there is no P&L report within Moneydance I found I was able to get a very close report by applying the "Tax-Related" option to the relevant categories and setting up a memorised "Income & Expenses" report.

Running five different bank accounts across several currencies hasn't proved an issue for Moneydance, with everything bought together nicely in reports thanks to the currency converter.

Given the excellent support offered my Moneydance I would recommend anyone in a similar situation to me, looking for a booking keeping package, to consider Moneydance. Overal I've been very impressed.
