The trust is growing
I've been using MD for about 3 years now, a disgruntled Quicken
for Mac user. I've had my quibbles over the MD interface*. However,
I have found that MD is serving my financial mgmt needs very
adequately. I have high praise for some critical areas; 1) Speed. I
can hardly believe how quickly MD does searches, updates reports,
saves transactions, filters results, generates reports and graphs,
etc. The underlying engine seems to work very well, and extremely
fast. 2) I now entrust MD to download not only my monthly credit
card transactions, but monthly data from my several investment
accounts. As a result, I don't have to enter much data into the
register, it literally POPS into it when I start the download.
Again, the speed here is surprising. 3) Some of the extensions are
very useful and have also improved over time. Quotes and Exchange
Rates, and Security Price entry save me loads of time.
4) I know you folks work your tails off, and I admire the way you
keep your cool, especially when some of the users vent their
frustrations on you. Keep it up. There are many of us who really do
appreciate all you do. Thanks.
*(please, oh please fix the re-sizing issue with the Portfolio View window!)

Hi pfkalina,
I'm not sure what the issue is that you are having with the Portfolio View but there was another user who had a problem with the Home Page not fitting on the screen.
Take a look through the following thread. The solution was to change the font size (Preferences > General tab) and then return it back to the default size.

BTW I'm a former MS Money user. I completely agree with your assessment of MD and the support staff.

Hi,
Thanks for the praise, we really appreciate it, I'll pass it on to the other staff!
Is Kevin correct in ascertaining the particular bug you are referring too?
Sincerely,
Jon Hoover, Moneydance Support

No, Jon, the problem can be found here and I think you've verified the issue. When I use MD on my laptop, there is no problem. However, if you use a large monitor (like a 27" iMac), you can see how the window does not resize properly.
