Very happy to have moved off of Quicken

I used Quicken for about 12 years. For the first 5 years or so, I loved it and had no complaints. Then about the same time they moved away from the .qif format, it was all downhill. My data was no longer safe. The UI became more cumbersome. They began turning off functionality after a couple of years to force users to upgrade.

I switched to Moneydance in about 2010. While it is missing some of the polish of Quicken, it more than makes up for that with its simple interface and, most importantly, data integrity. Quicken got to the point where I'd have to revert data files regularly due to corruption. I haven't had to do that once with Moneydance.

I will continue to support Moneydance. In fact, I wish you guys would come out with more things I could buy :) I'd love to give you more money. But at the same time, I love the fact that you do not force users to upgrade simply for the sake of your revenue stream.

XOXOXO

Harry
