Moneydance Strengths & Weaknesses

I've been using personal finance software (Managing Your Money and MS Money) for about 25 years. I thought I would pass on my thoughts about Moneydance after a couple of months of use:
Strengths:
Multiple OS platforms
Small footprint
Great support (staff & community)
Flexibility
Refund / Upgrade policy
Overall functionality for bank and credit card accounts seems quite good
Reminders designed well
Batch changes and changes through “tools” are superb time savers
Direct connect now seems to work effortlessly for two bank accounts and a credit card account
Weaknesses:
Investment analytics and reports are very weak when compared to Money
Overall reporting needs additional filters and refinement. Some reports also seem to have bad numbers.
Need context sensitive transaction forms with transaction type choices ("action") that reflect the type of account (checking / savings, credit card, investment)
Need the same ability to customize transaction type choices (“action”) for investments as exists for bank accounts (where are “interest” and “interest transfer” choices, for example).
Need the similar register auto fill capabilities for investment transactions as exist for bank accounts - action, category, memo, security, fee category – for investments
Need to be able to apportion sales tax and/or shipping automatically on purchases with split categories
Need to be able to choose between keeping the original date for a transaction you entered, or have the download of the cleared transaction's date override the original date
Application documentation needs a lot of work, but I know you're working on that
No sense of development queue which would be helpful in getting a sense of your priorities
You guys seem to be stretched awfully thin.
Too many tickets to get my head around
A lot of functionality in Moneydance isn't terribly intuitive
Just one customer's opinion, but on balance, I'm pretty pleased with my experience so far.

    Steve,

I appreciate that you took time to write this thoughtful email. I agree with much of your list and want you to know we are working on tackling much of the weaknesses you mentioned.

    Thanks for writing,

    Brian
