My old XP laptop eventually gave up the ghost and I purchased a new windows 7 laptop. I had 10 years worth of transactions in quicken 98 (yes, I know, ancient!). The first time I imported I used the ddmmyyyy format which completely screwed up the dates. Searched the forum and got the answer very quickly - use mmddyyyy format, but when the data appears in the moneydance files the date is converted back to ddmmyyyy. Worked like a dream and all those thousands of transactions, including loads of transfers, imported correctly first time - no corrections to make, all my balances are right. Very impressed Moneydance - 10 out of 10. I will be purchasing a licence to upgrade my free trial very soon.
