I now have six months of MD under my belt, having converted from iBank (after trying several other programs). Overall I give the program a 4 out of 5. My summary of problems:

1. No "Move Shares" option when changing brokerage accounts.
2. No "Splits" in investment accounts so you have to make multiple entries for items like tax withholding or other expenses.
3. No Budget options for IRA Distributions (its in the categories--you just can't use it unless dummy accounts with bogus entries are used). This makes budgeting essentially worthless.
4. No user definable budget period. No way to set the default display of budget on launch.
5. No decimal alignment option for displays or reports (no way to right alight cents in dollar.cents displays, or shares of mutual fund displays. Numbers will not display significant zeros, and instead truncates them (i.e. 10.00 becomes just 10). Very sloppy display.
6. Seemingly no way to ADD items to a previously created budget. (There might be, but after a few weeks I've received to response to this - http://help.infinitekind.com/discussions/budgeting/37-how-do-you-add-an-item-to-budget).
7. Minor issue - MD will not honor Yosemite or Mavericks display selection (for multiple monitors).

The good:
1. Easy to understand interface.
2. Outstanding import from banks and financial institutions.
3. Good reports.
4. Outstanding option for 3rd party extensions.

The Budget issues are a problem, the rest can be done with workarounds and DUMMY categories EXCEPT for the display formatting. I've found no way to get MD to properly display number of shares or dollars & cents.
