Goodbye Quicken, Hellooo Moneydance!
Just uninstalled Quicken after running Moneydance side-by-side for a couple of weeks. I was so used to the look and feel of Quicken that I never thought that I'd be able to switch my Personal Finance Software. Now I am used to, and actually prefer the sleek, streamline look of Moneydance vs the graphically intense Quicken.
My main reasons for switching:
1. I would always have to double-check Quicken transactions with my Bank Accounts There were times that I knew that there had been transactions made, but I would have to run Quicken's "One Step Update" multiple times to obtain the information.
2. Constant hounding by Quicken to upgrade. Additionally you are not able to import old data from Quicken Starter Edition 2015 to Starter Edition 2016. To import data, you were required to purchase at least the Quicken Deluxe version ($69.99).
3. The recently introduced Mandatory 2-step login process that required the use of my mobile phone to obtain a code after I already entered my password to open the program.
4. The LACK of SUPPORT when encountering any sort of error when trying to perform downloads of transaction data (which happened more and more frequently over the last several months).
I was so sick of Quicken (I was "married" to it for years). It should be called "Sicken".
THANKS Moneydance for providing such a malleable product. Your Customer Service (including your Documentation and Moderated Help Forum) is FANTASTIC!!! The product has met and exceeded all of my expectations. Please keep up the good work. I am now a loyal Moneydance customer!
Regards,
Tony :)
