See attached screenshots of Investment Register and Investment Bank Register. I delete the downloaded transfers, and they return on the next download. The downloaded one also defaults to the "ARB Checking" account, which is wrong. There is no merge function, as you know, so that's not a solution either. Other than deleting my entries and having to always accept Fidelity's download and then editing it to be correct, is there any way to fix this? I am using Windows 10 version of Moneydance 2017.3 (1612). (Latest version available.) Thanks.

Jonnotag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/424852072017-05-05T14:52:19Z2017-05-05T14:52:19ZFidelity Download Duplicate Transactions

Just to be absolutely clear, I've added one more screenshot. The two transactions with the blue circles get downloaded whenever I download from this Fidelity account. They never seem to match up with the two cleared transactions (green circles) that are already in the account. There is no merge option as you know, and deleting the two downloaded transactions works until the next download, when they return. I need a way to fix this! Thanks.

Jonnotag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/424852072017-05-06T06:36:41Z2017-05-06T06:36:41ZFidelity Download Duplicate Transactions

Hi,

Thank you for contacting us and for the screenshots, it helps with clarifying the issue.
It is possible choose to have Moneydance automatically merge downloaded transactions instead of going through the confirmation process. To enable this option, click File → Preferences → Network, and select “Automatically Merge Downloaded Transactions”.
Within the same menu, you can also specify 'Only match downloaded transactions when they are at most 'X' days apart' at the bottom of the screen.

Please let me know if “Automatically Merge Downloaded Transactions” works for you, otherwise we will proceed with a different approach.

The Only match downloaded transactions option was set to default. Attached screenshot as verification.

On a side note, I get an email from infinitekind after posting initial discussion, but I do not get a notification email when support staff such as yourself replies to an open discussion. That seems strange, and it means I have to check back with the support website to see if there's been a reply...which also delays you folk when you are waiting on a customer response too. Thanks for looking into all this.

Jonnotag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/424852072017-05-07T10:47:28Z2017-05-07T10:47:28ZFidelity Download Duplicate Transactions

Hi Jon,

Thank you for checking the settings, the next option is when you're going through the confirmation process of your downloaded transactions, you'll have the option to 'Merge' similar transactions.
As you've previously imported these transactions to Moneydance, you will likely see some transactions duplicated. By merging the transactions, rather than deleting the duplicates, they should not be re-downloaded the next time you download data from your bank.

Regarding the notification:
I'll change the visibility of this discussion.

Please let me know if anything changes.

is not supported and is not an option for Investment accounts, as I
mentioned when I opened the ticket. The only option is to CONFIRM a
downloaded transaction, or delete it. If Merge was available then I could
simply merge it as I do with downloaded bank transactions. Question: Is
this feature something that the developers THINK is in the current version
that was somehow removed during an update?

I did receive this email. Gmail classified it as "Social" rather than
"Personal", so I've taught Gmail to direct mail from Infinitekind to the personal mailbox, so that is resolved.

Thanks for all and for responding on a weekend (here)!

This issue seemed to RESOLVE ITSELF this morning. I have no idea why. OK, one idea. Maybe it's related to "Only match transactions when they are at most "Default" days apart." Perhaps today the DEFAULT DAYS was exceeded, and therefore it didn't download it again or ??? IDK.

It would help me to understand (and I don't see it in the documentation) if manual MERGE is supported in INVESTMENT accounts, and if not, why not...was that accidental or intentional? Thanks!

Jonno
