Problem with Syncing on MacBook and iPhones

We have a Macbook we run MoneyDance 2019 on and the mobile app on my phone and my wife's phone. I wanted to add a new expense category, so I did this on the MacBook, however it isn't showing on either my phone or my wife's phone. I have therefore disconnected the syncing of my phone via drop box and reconnected. However now the numbers in our accounts on my phone don't match the numbers on the MacBook or my wife's phone. HELP!!!

   Are you using Dropbox or Dropbox folder as your sync method. If you use Dropbox any changes made while a device is offline will not sync. If you use Dropbox folder the changes will sync the next time the folder syncs.

   How do I tell if I am using Dropbox folder or Dropbox? The option on my phone that comes up is just Dropbox or iCloud. All the devices were connected to the home Wi-Fi when I had the problem.

   Mobile devices always use DBConnection. But the desktop is a choice. On those go to MD/File/Syncing to find out.
